First stop today: the Shedd aquarium. After having visited Ripley’s aquarium in Toronto earlier I must admit that I was spoiled, but I do have to say that the Shedd aquarium has an incredible number of different sea creatures from countless different habitats and regions of the earth, not only the famous and colorful ones. Of course I attended the whale/dolphin show (which was a little different than I expected – but I’ll not spoil too much) and is of course very special because of the Beluga whales that the aquarium has.
The next stop was the Hancock Center – another very tall and prominent building in Chicago’s skyline. Surprisingly, there was not much going on even though the building has the “tilt” windows in the top (which of course I also had to do)… The windows lean forward out of the building with you inside them.
After the tower – and a very filling dinner at the cheesecake factory – it was time to go back to the apartment, of course by foot to end the day with a stroll through nightly Chicago at 27°C.
