We spent our first few days in Peru in Lima, where we lived in the Miraflores district right next to the Pacific ocean. Most of the time was taken by us getting to know the other students, both new and returning, and getting all the organizational stuff done as well as listening to a number of presentations by the TGS staff about the school and everything related to it.
But in between all these things I still had the chance to take a look at our part of Lima, and spent some very nice afternoons exploring the city.
For the first full day, the school had organized a scavenger hunt for us to complete in groups, which gave us the chance to look at Lima in more detail. It is quite an interesting city, but I don’t think i would like to live here permanently.
The food: although my group decided to eat American burgers on the first day, the rest of the time I actually ate Peruvian food, which was mainly seafood in my case.
And here you go, just in case you want some more impressions from Lima:
