The structure of the day today was very similar to most of the previous days’ schedules – the first half of the day one destination, a second in the second half with some food in between. In this specific case the first half of the day was the nature history museum, the food in between the sushi restaurant I already went to on my first full day in the city and the second half of the day (or to be more precise the early evening) was supposed to be filled with a visit to the Navy Pier.
The Navy Pier was less of an amusement park and more of an “eat and chill zone” than I originally expected, but of course the Ferris wheal had to be visited – and with a short excursion to the tip of the pier to see a sailboat headed for the port of Chicago the day was already mostly over.
